Outlink2 SLIM has an endosseous diameter of only 3.00 mm and its body is treated with ZirTi for a lenght of 10, 11.5 or 13 mm. The coronal portion, 1.80 mm high, is characterized, instead, by a machined surface. The Outlink2 SLIM implant, with over 5 years of clinical tests behind, is recommended for the rehabilitation of single elements in case of reduced space, in order to obtain a highly functional result and excellent aesthetics. The use of this implant with such a reduced diameter is also recommended to avoid bone regeneration techniques or orthodontic tooth movements, as well as in the presence of thin crests.
To complete the Outlink² implants line, short implants are also available. The Outlink² Shorty are fixtures with a reduced height, starting from 5.00 mm, ideal for situations of multiple prosthetic rehabilitations in which the bone crest available is limited.
The dimensions and diameters of the Outlink² range allow excellent application of Switching Platform protocols, using posts with a smaller diameter than the surface of the implant platform, so as to favour the osseointegration of the implant and improve the preservation of the peri-implant tissues. Prosthetization with the Switching Platform technique is indicated also for the Shorty line.
For inserting Shorty implants a special Drilling Kit has been created containing drills with a very short tip (with respective stops), specially designed for preparing the implant site with a limited bone thickness.
Outlink² implants are available both with a ZirTi surface, obtained by sand-blasting with zirconium oxide and subsequent acid etching with mineral acids: the neck of the implant is machined, the body is sand-blasted to obtain a high roughness that allows better control of any bacterial infections, and that helps the osseointegration process.
